Very poor delivery service, no delivery after 2 hours and multiple calls.

I ordered a couscous and they delivered something else.

This place is awful. Awful, rude service, terrible food.

The customer service and delivery service is absolutely atrocious. It is expensive and the food is only mediocre at best.

Food is excellent. However, I’m not sure what happened with service. The staff has been incredibly rude and treats people as though we’re inconveniencing them when we call for delivery lately, so I don’t order from them anymore. I would still eat in the restaurant, however.

1 hour & 15 minutes after ordering, I am still waiting for my food. The restaurant is 5 minutes away by foot. This is simply not acceptable. The restaurant is not even picking up the phone.

i love the food it's always fresh and good and the adjustments requested are always followed - but their delivery is always slow, even ordering 90 minutes in advance

Never will I order here again!!! Every time I order lunch it takes them about 2 hours to deliver my food! Thank goodness their sister restaurant on 3rd avenue is always on time!

Terrible delivery service. Took 2 hours to get my food. It came cold, drink was spilt all over the bag, and the hummus was off. NEVER get delivery from hummus kitchen. Dine in. At least your food will be somewhat edible.

Good food but slow delivery. Always 1 hour +. theses guys need to get it together.

good sirloin hummus. would love the option to add single pitas to an order. or pita chips. a single portion of the hummus was more than enough to feed me (and i'm an eater)

constantly forget parts of order - very frustrating

I've ordered from them in the past and enjoyed it, but this past Sunday was a disaster: - The Chicken Kebab was burned black, and charred beyond edibility-- even scraping away burnt sections left hardened and dried chicken. - The food looked unsanitary, with the rice clumpy and burnt, and the plastic container with the side of the sauce buried in the rice I never give feedback other than selecting the stars but this experience was beyond what I would've expected and thought it worth the time to warn others.

I found Hummus Kitchen a couple of months ago and love their food! But the delivery version of what they offer is not nearly up to par, and smaller portions as well.

I order from here almost every other day. Love the regular hummus + chicken kabob. The green tahini is SO good + the rice is amazing. Lately the falafel has been really dry and over cooked-wish they would fix this. Also, the portions are inconsistent, and a bit small for the price. Overall tasty food.

The Moroccan Fish Platter is one of the best dishes ever! The flavor is out of this world. The variety at Hummus Kitchen is somewhat limited but nearly every dish is fantastic. The desserts are also very innovative and new to me, especially love the Kadaif.

fantastic quick KOSHER chicken and hummus option. the moroccan chicken lafta (sandwhich) is great.

Some of the tastiest "health-food' in the neighborhood. Very speedy delivery and straightforward menu.

If you feel like expanding your horizons a bit beyond a falafel sandwich, there's no better place to explore that Hummus Kitchen. Great people, great drinks (try the mint and lime slushie), and it all travels far better than you would ever expect!

The food was amazing and was packaged really well. I ordered the shakshuka and it was one of the best things I've eaten in a while. It came with two pieces of pita, so depending on how much pita you need you may want to order extra.

I love this place! The hummus is rich and flavorful and the prices cannot be beat! It's a great alternative to the standard pizza or sandwich delivery order. I usually go for the mushroom hummus with a side of beets. Both are delicious. Also, they deliver quite quickly, so your hummus never gets cold.

Delivery was fast. I had the chicken kebab platter, which had good rice.

By far, my favorite lunch spot. With the lunch special, you get enough food for at least two meals. I've tried pretty much all of the sides and the babaganoush is definitely the best. Don't miss out on the green hot sauce.

Slow delivery (hence the three stars) but pretty reliable middle eastern food. The humus and the chicken are pretty flavorful.

I've eaten at the restaurant before and have already been happy. However, delivery is a whole other story. First off, it took 65 minutes to get my food delivered. Then to top it off, they gave me the wrong type of chicken. I called and spoke to the manager and he argued with me that it was correct. After telling him that Ive eaten the same dish in the store and it looked different, he still said that it was correct and there was nothing he could do. If you have the time to wait and dont mind getting a variation of what you order, this is the restaurant for you.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE unless you don't mind over-paying, waiting longer than the expected wait time, and like receiving small portioned meals. My hubby and I ordered (with high expectations based on the reviews) the "super healthy salad" with quinoa and a laffah falafel. FIrstly, the food was supposed to arrive within 30 - 45 min, but arrived 70+ minutes after being ordered. I called twice to confirm the order was not lost and the individual on the phone simply stated "it's a busy night for us" before hanging up. The abrupt NY attitude did not surprise me. When the food arrived, the delivery person literally tossed the bag in my husband's hands and promptly ran off without a word. This too did not surprise me. What surprised me was when I opened the food to see that $8.00 got me a half filled salad bowl. In addition, the falafel (although average priced) was also small which surprised me considering most falafels I've had in NYC are rather substantive. Basically for $20, I suggest you order from elsewhere and get your money's worth. I have lived in NY for too long to put up with crappy service AND average tasting food (you can only have one or the other and expect to survive here)

I always order the Mezze Trio. Great deal for a variety of very fresh food. I get the humus (pefectly creamy and tastes delicious), the falafel (which are green and nutty and come with a delicious green tahini sauce), the chopped salad (which is incredibly fresh and comes with a yummy lemony dressing), and pita bread (warm but a little too doughy for me; I'd prefer something thinner). This place is definitely a must try!

The hummus is to die for! I love the chickpea pea and the light hummus. The whole wheat pita they send is thick and piping hot. The chicken couscous is delicious! Best hummus in the city. I highly recommend it! I ordered from here once for 14 days straight.

Super fast delivery and super delicious. The only thing that made me sad was that the sampler mazze platter does not come with hummus. I think they should indicate that somewhere on the menu so that when your food comes, you are not disappointed. But they don't, so I am telling you in the hopes of sparing you the pain. Otherwise it was wonderful.

I love Middle Eastern food and find it pretty hard to mess up, but this was some of the worst I've ever had. I ordered a bowl of the garden vegetable soup, a small order of the falafel, and the large Mediterranean chopped salad. When the delivery finally arrived (it took an entire hour!), I was starving and ready for a hot bowl of delicious soup with lots of vegetables. What I got, however, was a container of bland lukewarm OIL (not exaggerating here--you should've seen it) with a few very overcooked veggies sitting in the bottom. It was the greasiest "soup" I ever tried to get down--truly disgusting (and I'm not very hard to please when it comes to soup)! It was so gross that after a few spoonfuls, I set it on the counter so that my boyfriend can see how oily it is when he gets home. And I'm wondering if the cook was embarrassed to serve it because the container was only 2/3 full when I opened it. The lid had been adequately taped down, so it wasn't a case of the soup spilling during delivery--they simply chose not to fill the container at the restaurant. Hey, Humus Kitchen, next time save me the $6 and just tell me that the soup is no good... Not that there will be a next time because the salad, while not inedible like the soup, was certainly nothing to write home about. It was simply flavorless. How do you mess up a simple chopped salad with mint, lemon and olive oil? I don't know, but they managed to do it. I begrudgingly ate it, wishing the entire time for some seasoning. Finally, the falafel. The flavor wasn't bad, but it was cold. I understand that it can be hard to keep food warm in NYC in the winter, but if you can't deliver a hot meal, don't pretend you can. I'm getting tired of paying $25-$30 for less than satisfying meals that are cold-lukewarm on top of it. Bottom line: I won't be ordering from Humus Kitchen again. It's a big disappointment and a waste of money.

I have been ordering from Hummus Kitchen practically since it opened and have been very satisfied. But recently they've gotten several of my orders incorrect, the food quality is inconsistent, and they switched to serving meat so discontinued cheese. As a vegetarian this makes me very sad. Not sure I'll be back.

Falafel is great - beets & feta are also tasty. We loved everything that we ordered. The portions were large, too! This place is a new favorite.

Hummus Kitchen does not disappoint! The food is always fresh and the hummus and pitas always arrive warm and tasty. The vegetables side is also a good choice. Their delivery and pick up options are both super fast! I will order from here again and again.

The hummous was too creamy -- prefer a grainier texture. Did not care for the falafal balls at all. The whole wheat pita was fabulous -- very fluffy. The food arrived hot and very fast -- under 30 minutes.

Very good Middle Eastern food, not expensive and quick. I ordered the Sabih wrap and it was a good size portion and yummy. They also give you a nice little side of olives. Would definitely order here again.

I did not have a good experience with them. They changed the order without asking me. I had asked for knaffe, they gave me baklava. Also, they forgot to send me the bottle of large water. Rest of the food which they thankfully dlivered tasted ok, but nothing great. Overall, cannot give more than 1 star.
